Terms of Sale for Meili AS. Last Updated: 2025-01-01
1. Parties
These Terms of Sale govern the contractual relationship between: Seller: Meili AS, a company registered in Norway with organization number 931691163, located at Hunnsvegen 3, 2821 Gjøvik, Norway. Customer: Any individual or entity placing an order via https://meili.no. By placing an order, the Customer confirms they are at least 18 years old and agree to these Terms.
2. Payment
Accepted Methods: Credit/debit cards, bank transfers, or other payment options displayed at checkout. Currency: All transactions are processed in NOK (Norwegian Krone). Timing: Full payment is required before order processing. For failed payments, orders will be canceled. Security: Payments are processed securely via encrypted channels. Meili AS does not store payment details. Fees: The Customer bears any bank or currency conversion fees.
3. Delivery
Scope: Delivery is limited to Norway unless otherwise agreed. Methods: Products are shipped via trusted carriers. Tracking information is provided upon dispatch. Timeframe: Estimated delivery times are provided but not guaranteed. Delays due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., logistics issues) do not entitle the Customer to compensation. Risk: Responsibility for products transfers to the Customer upon delivery.
4. Right of Withdrawal
14-Day Cancellation: Customers have 14 days from receipt to cancel orders for any reason, excluding perishable or custom-made items. Process: Notify Meili AS via email (hello@meili.no) or the withdrawal form on the website. Return products unused, in original packaging. Refund: Issued within 14 days of receiving returned goods, minus return shipping costs (unless the product is faulty).
5. Return of Defective Products
Faulty Items: Customers may return defective products within 2 years of purchase under Norwegian consumer law. Process: Contact Meili AS within a reasonable time to request a repair, replacement, or refund. Return shipping costs for defective items are covered by Meili AS.
6. Complaints Handling
Submission: Complaints must be sent to hello@meili.no within 2 years of purchase, including order details and a description of the issue. Resolution: Meili AS will respond within 14 business days and resolve complaints as quickly as possible, in compliance with Norwegian consumer law.
7. Conflict Resolution
Governing Law: Disputes are subject to Norwegian law. Venue: Legal proceedings must be initiated in the Norwegian courts where Meili AS is registered. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR): The Customer may refer disputes to the Norwegian Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet) or the European Consumer Centre.
